After the establishment of ID Lab, ROOT’s journey continued to accelerate. While Ceren ventured into new areas, she also continued her robotics work. In 2016, Moneybot emerged as an initiative aimed at financial literacy for children. This was also a step towards developing educational games for children.
Financial management has been identified as one of the important skills that should be addressed in childhood, without waiting to become mature adults. Financial management skills acquired at a young age form the first step towards lifelong financial literacy. ROOT aims to provide financial literacy education to future generations at a young age with Moneybot, a skill that is lacking in many adults today.
Moneybot emerged as a project that gamifies financial education for both individual and societal betterment in the future.
The starting point of the MoneyBot project was finding habit-forming solutions for acquiring financial skills like savings awareness. It was crucial to leverage creative digital trends in doing so.

With this digital money application, there was a need to develop applications and interfaces in multiple categories within the device.
Recognizing the need for accessible communication, ROOT has turned to board games as a means of gamifying its projects to tell stories. This strategic move has integrated gamification into ROOT’s professional approach and increased engagement and interaction.
In response to a brochure request from the European Union Delegation, ROOT proposed creating a board game called ‘Evropa’ aimed at raising awareness about the European Union and public services. This initiative not only solidified ROOT’s brand personality but also highlighted its goal of innovation and societal impact by seamlessly integrating game development, design, and production into its core functions.
